Web seminar “What is corporate valuation all about, being an example for intangible valuations in transfer pricing?”

In this web event, we will discuss what valuation is, how you need to value a company and the methods of valuing an intangible.

In an interactive demonstration, we will start with an explanation of valuation and how to value a company. We will explain the difference between:

·         Equity value vs. enterprise value

·         Fundamental vs. relative valuation

·         The 3 approaches of valuation; the cost approach, the market approach and the income approach.

In depth, we will explain the discounted cash flow (DCF) method and the underlying analysis.

The second part of the webinar consists out of the valuation of intangible assets. We will first explain what intangibles are, their characteristics and 2 of the methods used in valuing intangibles; namely the Relief from Royalty Method and the Multi-Period excess earnings Method. We will finish the second part with a communication protocol for the valuation of intangible assets and what models to use for intangibles.

We will finish with an example of a real life transfer price case in which we have to value intangibles. By doing this, we give the audience an understanding how to use the subjects of the first two parts in practice.
